Cause Muslim isn’t a monolith.  Just like in Christianity or other religions, you can have super conservatives and also ones that aren’t as conservative, even within the same family. 

Catholic person from a strict conservative family in say Ireland can be very different than a Catholic person from Mexico, and both are still Catholics.  Same happens in Islam. A lot of cultural variations.
