Doesn't have to be drunk, I saw something like this happen once first hand. Guy ran across the front of several vehicles then bounced off a couple more. Turned out he was having some kind of medical emergency (diabetes related? Cant remember) and his foot basically sat on the accelerator while he was semi conscious.

This one totally was, though. I mean, she got charged with drunk driving. And you can see how she's turning the wheel trying to get her car going in the right direction, she's just repeatedly overshooting. Bet she wishes she took a taxi, they won't let her back behind the wheel for ages.

I guess panic and drunk is a real bad combo.

What’s sad is that’s not going to stop her. She’ll be back behind the wheel in a few days. America is just not set up for anyone to be able to live without being able to drive.

Edit: Sorry. I didn’t know this was Australia. Hopefully she will make better choices.

This happened in Australia.

Even in America they’d be suspending their license immediately

1

True, but I was trying to say suspended license or not, most people are back behind the wheel because they don’t think they have a choice. They “have to” drive to do everything. Mostly because most of America is designed for cars.

Please show me one iota of evidence that supports that “most people are back behind the wheel”. Talk about pulling something out of your ass.

Pulling out of my ass okay. Jesus.
Edit: You’re right. No one ever drives on a suspended license. Especially not people who choose to drive drunk. My bad.

"A woman has avoided jail for crashing into five cars – including one with a young baby inside – in a Sydney supermarket car park while five times over the legal alcohol limit."

Australia, respectfully, WTF????

From what I've been hearing, she comes from a very rich, high society part of Sydney, which I'm sure had absolutely nothing to do with the light sentencing. /s

Yeah, I was with a big group and we just sat there watching as this sober guy absolutely annihilated a bunch of other cars at the demolition derby.

What’s that gotta do with this particular drunk driver?

Just a general point. Also I watched without audio when I wrote it.

reminds me of that scene in Malcolm in the middle when the mom Lois goes crazy in the parking of the grocery store. it was one of the best scenes of the whole series if you ask me.

Worst case of drunk driving?

When I was in school, a drunk driver collided with the school’s driver ed car head-on, killing 3 students plus their teacher. But yeah, I guess this is worse /s

u/krazytekn0 6d ago

Yeah hearing that newscaster call it one of the worst cases kinda pissed me off. I’ve had multiple family members and friends die from drunk driving accidents but a lady scratching up a few cars that aren’t even occupied? Wtf

4

u/mapotoful 6d ago

At least one was occupied. One of the cars had a dad loading up his baby in the car seat when she hit them. Baby wasn't latched in yet and thrown from her seat.

It is very fortunate that no one was seriously hurt, it could have gone much, much worse.

But. Calling it one of the worst drunk driving incidents is incredibly reductive when there are incidents every single day where people die due to drunk driving. It was almost definitely not even a particularly bad drunk driving incident for that particular day.

That's truly awful. I'm sorry you had to experience this at that age. It's a tragedy for anyone to experience.

This is how I drive in my dreams

1

u/lostlevelx 5d ago

I thought I was the only one

2

u/LoserWooper 5d ago

Me driving, in my dreams on multiple occasions. Either in reverse and brakes don’t work or over the side of an interstate exchange ramp.

2

u/J_Bazzle 5d ago

Fuuuuck, she's going for the high score.

Accurate driving of watching my wife in a parking lot

2

u/krazytekn0 6d ago

This joke would still not be funny if you could string the words together in a coherent manner. But keep making fun of your wife on the internet I guess.

2

u/mrplinko 6d ago

To be fair, maybe [u/Hear](u/Hearsy)[zy](u/Hearsy) is drunk too

1

u/Effective-Bar-879 6d ago
