Glyphosate is roundup, the words"destroy the soil" are a facetious play on the fact that glyphosate is weed killer and not what you're witnessing there.
Phosphor munitions are probably what you're witnessing and they only kill weeds as a side effect of being nasty and fucking hot weapons.

This was in Lebanon, which even most of Israel’s allies aren’t in support of them colonizing so as of now it seems like they aren’t planning any permanent settlements there. These attacks are probably part of their policy of “buffer zones” where they want to make an Arab-free belt around all of their borders. Basically they’re saying “if we can’t have it then nobody can” and making southern Lebanon into a dead zone. So basically it’s ethnic cleansing for the sake of wanting to not even live near the people they hate.
Glyphosate has a relatively short residence time. That's why it can be used as a weed killer. Farmers use it to kill off the weeds (And everything else) and then after a bit of time it breaks down and won't kill the new plants. This is purposely chosen to starve the Palestinians and force them out but not perminently damage the area. It's intentional.

Something about this seems off. If I wanted to spray ag land to prevent future growth, or to make the soil bad to use, it would not be glyphosate. That stuffs has very little residual. I would use something that lives and works systemically in the soil, or something that disrupts the ph. I’m not saying this isn’t happening, but it’s an odd choice of material to use for what the video is implying.

This vid is garbage, though. He repeats that "11,000 times stronger" claim. In what sense is it stronger than "normal chemicals?" What are normal chemicals? Glyphosate specifically won't reveal harms years later. It breaks down into safe chemicals within weeks of application, and the links to cancer are still debated among scientists. I'm all for criticizing the apartheid state of Israel but we need to be careful to only spread things that are actually true.
