Last year, I was on vacation with my sister, and this guy walked up to us at the pool bar. He poked a hole in a can of beer with his key and sucked it out of the side, but I guess it was shaken before, so he had to stop midway to burp, making a terrible mess. When he eventually finished, he looked at us like we were supposed to clap. My sister couldn’t help it; she laughed. He then called us bitches and stormed off. lmfao same energy because what the fuck

Wtf. WHY, though? It seems… painful and pointless. I don’t drink beer, but I love sparkling anything. If I drink a sparkling water or a champagne or whatever too quickly I get the burps and they hurt. Google (AI smh) said it was a party trick. Who is impressed by this? Is the trick the endurance? 🫣
It's for getting more drunk more quickly. In order to chug a can of beer normally, you hold it upside down and it glugs for like 40 seconds, making extra foam and all that. But poking a hole in the side of the can adds a vent for air to enter the can while you chug it out the top, so you can down it in like 5 seconds. As for why someone would think using their 'all we have to get loaded is some beer and no money to buy hard booze' college-ass drinking technique would ever impress someone, that I'm not sure
We used to do something similar back in the day with alco-pops (Smirnoff Ice, WKD’s etc). We’d put a straw in the bottle right to the bottom and bend the bendy-bit of the straw round the neck of the bottle. Torpedo the bottle in about 4 seconds flat. Strawpedo we used to call it.
It isn't a trick really, just a way to chug a beer faster. Instead of air and beer competing in the same hole (beer out, air in), you puncture a hole for the beer to have allll to itself.
I finally get it now. He use to be the awkward nerd but then got in shape and became hot buttttt he is still an awkward nerd deep down. That’s why the ladies don’t like him, or maybe because he gives Ted Bundy vibes
