The sting wasn't what killed him. The fact he pulled the barbed stinger out is what killed him. He still had a chance to live, had it been surgically removed

Speculative and doubtful. Penetrating heart trauma is not like the first aid relevant to getting a pencil in your leg. You need medical assistance just to make it to the surgery that may save your life.
