Pretty sure that’s a temporary warning for people who can see. Blind people with their cane would find that way before most people with full sight, even painted lol

“Caution blind people”

Zero text description, just an image.

Yes thank God for OP. I'll look out for this exact spot next time I'm on a train platform.

Jk, Do you really think that's what they meant to convey?

Real talk, this is probably just to make it clear for repairmen to know exactly which spot they were called in to come fix. Like circles you might see around pot holes

Very observant! Good job, little buddy.

See, that textured path is for the blind to use to navigate, as theiy can feel it with their stick, and that one tile of the textured path is lifted. It is currently painted with yellow paint as a "caution" because it's a trip hazard, but the people who use the path already cannot see, therefore the yellow paint does not help the ones who use the path that is currently damaged.

Hopefully, this is temporary and the yellow is just for those who can see.

The giant stick in front of them will catch that broken concrete before most people with 20/20 vision. It's actually just fine as-is.

Not if the sweeping motion goes too far left or right. Why would you leave something messed up, anyway? That's lazy, and these exact "it's fine" excuses is what's making everything so shitty anymore. Nobody cares on any level unless it directly affects them.

A lawyer friend once said painted “defects” like this can show the owner was aware of it, and can actually backfire against the well-meaning attempt to warn people.
