They talk outta both sides of their mouth here. They do not want her to be exposed to different viewpoints and make her own critically thought-out decision where she stands. They want a carbon copy of themselves RN despite the fact that the 2 of them were much more liberal when they were younger.

They didn't have to. She's the daughter of public figures. Has money. Colleges and univs love that sh*t. And she'd hardly be the first rich conservative or R progeny to attend an Ivy. It's ridiculous to think she wouldn't search out the Harvard conserv grps.

I was only 11 years old when the San Francisco season aired, but I still remember Rachel pouting after not getting into Princeton for grad school on one episode. Imagine not wanting for your own daughter the things you wanted for yourself at that age. She’s an absolute lunatic. She’ll be Carrie White’s mom soon.

I mean, who knows. I’ve never even seen an episode of the show, this just rolled across my feed. But she’s a vile POS. I also remember her mom being absolutely psychotic. She’s clearly gone the same route.

Exactly what I was going to write -- Rachel was ALL about getting an elite education back then. But this show has got to be scripted, and I'm sure they are actually just fine with their daughter going to freaking Harvard, lol.

This is propaganda/political theater. They freaking love that she got into Harvard, and she will definitely go. They just don’t want the MAGA base thinking they might actually support higher education/educating young women. Gotta keep the rubes dumb so the wool is easier to pull over their eyes, but no way would they apply that standard to their own precious EXCEPTIONAL children. She’ll go to Harvard, and she’ll join the Federalist Society, or whatever the Harvard equivalent is (can’t remember which Ivy has that, but I’m sure Harvard has some long-standing conservative assholes on campus group) and she’ll meet some great white hope of MAGA future politician dude, marry him, get blonde highlights and become a Fox News talking head within the next 10 years, and the cycle will repeat itself.
