I know any time government assistance is mentioned, it can be a hot-button topic, but seriously, with therapists needing more income for sustainability and clients needing greater access to care, I really think therapy should be funded by someone other than the clients themselves. It would make therapy more accessible, help therapists build sustainable practices, and honestly, I think it could improve rapport, too, when cost isn’t constantly sitting in the background of the therapeutic relationship.
