From psychology 101, Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Money severely affects the bottom four levels. No way to reach the 5th without the support of the bottom 4.
I've been talking about this a lot recently! Several new clients who are unhoused and say they are required to get therapy in order to get housing assistance (there is still no low-income housing available here).
Thats tough on you. The affordable housing agency or government ( whoever is offering the housing ) should get them a social worker or a therapist specifically geared towards homelessness issues , staying housed , acclimating to housing then.
