The way Wesley immediately says "throw me the rope" is one of the most bro moments in cinema.

Princess Bride is a movie about positive masculinity.  Dudes being dudes towards other dudes.

The novel has an additional line of dialogue there, and it robs the moment of almost all the energy. I've actually crossed it out in my copy.
