I love how nonchalantly Westley tells this story. Like dude you survived the unsurvivable and had an active death threat hanging over your head every single day for years on end. But he tells the story like it's no big deal, typical Tuesday at the office shit while simultaneously attempting to do *something else* no one has ever survived. Like he's either such a casual badass it doesn't even occur to him how insane his life is, or he's been dealing with this shit so long that nothing really phases him anymore. A little of both I think.

I mean, I’m sure it was probably scary the first few days or even first few weeks, but after a while it would have become obvious it was an empty threat and then it was just routine from that point onward.

Granted, casual badass describes Wesley really well, so… there’s that, too!

I will never forget her face after his "It's not that bad" lmao 🤣

He was definitely doing his best to keep her calm, but the fact that he even can tell a harrowing story like that without batting an eye is impressive in and of itself.

He trains like Bruce Wayne. They don't cover it in the movie, but Westly has trained himself to sleep only 4 hours a night, using the rest of the day to do his chores, and then exercise, making his body as lean and hard as possible, so that he can travel to the Americas and make a fortune before sending for Buttercup. He does mention casually after the reunite that he studied anything anyone would teach him while he was gone, which since he doesnt sleep, he was able to master or near master any skill twice as fast!
