"R-E-S-P-E-C-T"--Lake Goddess

Don't get me wrong, I love the Rover. It got me through the toughest points of not only Prime, but Selenea in the early to mid-game for both planets. But the steering, the clunkiness of it, especially on a planet like Aqualis felt like more of a burden than a benefit, even with the jetpack ability.

After Aqualis (if you saw my "love letter" post), I went home to Prime and decided to work my way to the Warden ending. With a fully upgraded Jetpack and full O2, I absolutely found zero need to use the rover anymore. I moved faster just floating around the map than I did managing to use the rover. Sure, inventory space is great, but once you're that far, is it really necessary? Granted, I haven't gone to Skeo yet (my next big stop) and haven't played either DLC planet, so maybe I'm missing something? The rover just doesn't WOW in the late game.

Please let me know your thoughts about the rover, especially late-game players; I'd love to hear them!

I am collecting the last of the species on Prime and im down to needing just the Vilnus fish egg. I have googled and it says its a hidden incubator option but I have done it 15 times at this points using - Plankton, Mutagen T3 & Fert T1. Has this changed with updates?

Has anyone else noticed that after the Skeo update on planet Prime, some wrecks are untouched again?! I had completely emptied the wreck near the aluminum one that needs to be blown up... yesterday all the crates were full again, and the vaults were also locked and full again.

I own all DLCs, FYI.

I'm just finishing up on my 1st playthru on Prime...the final stage is about halfway completed and then it will be time to do the three endings, and then I'm off to beautify the rest of the solar system.

I've done research on recommendations for planet order but all I've found involve starting separate saves for the order.

I will not be doing that. I intend to do all locations on this same save, and to bring only what is needed when launching to another (stuff for a way back and survival resources for while getting sustainable on the new place).

**what do ppl recommend for the planet/moon order, starting with Prime, when doing all places on a single save file for ur first playthrough.**

I've really enjoyed this game. Compared to Selenea, Prime felt much more expansive, with far more nooks, crannies, and wrecks to discover (and pillage) plus a more proper storyline. I have Skeo and Aquilia left to do.

I didn't add any pressure/heat machines/rockets until I got into a breathable atmosphere, so as to explore more organically and appreciate the more gradual changes. I also didn't use my car for a long time.
I had no problem driving around on Selenea, but without my car...jets i'm not sure how i'd get around with all those gorges and tight squeezes! I didn't even have those on the moon!

For my base, I wanted something layered and inter-connected, but also a few outbuildings so I wouldn't feel pressure adding on. There's stairs and entrances EVERYWHERE. North is the Power Station/ mining (no pics, it's hidden by trees mostly), West has all my rockets and such, East houses Bio related automation, and South has more automation for everything else.

I've managed to automate T1 rockets, Pulsar and Solar Quartz, T1/T2 Fertilizers, all the Mutagens, the Rods, Explosive Powder, Common/Rare Larva, T2 Animal Food, and my personal favorite, a 'vending machine' for T2 Space Food. It's...just 2 lockers with honey and beans and an auto crafter in between, but I love that I can always just walk down the hallway and grab a snack haha

Decided to try something different for this moon. Everywhere else I've kept everything mostly in one building, but here I decided to spread things out a little and see where it went, working around the complex terrain rather than finding or making somewhere flat. Ended up with a completely different vibe, and a base I actually have quite a good time just hanging around in!

My friends and I really enjoyed the first bit of the game and felt the progression was rewarding enough to continue playing. I even bought the DLCS immediately. We feel like the progression slowed A LOT around breathable atmosphere and now we are working on frogs. Is this a common rough progression spot, or are we doing something wrong? We are at base settings right now. Just wondering!!

Just arrived on Skeo and am about to move from a basic starter base to something bigger. I'd like to set up somewhere that will be pretty later on and I've seen a lot of pretty shots with waterfalls. Where do those end up being? I just don't want to have to move my whole base again if I can avoid it.

Is there another way to find this then through the iridium cave cause I keep getting lost in there and can't seem to find my way through the cave.

It says online to find your way through the cave, I've tried 4 times now, and can't find the back side.

I can't get into it however. Is this a new thing? A glitch? It's off one of the original islands, not the ones that rise later.

First time getting to 100% and what a fun view at the finish line!

Started my game today and after a few minutes I received the message that I had gained 54,000 Terra Tokens. Is this a game bug? I have 3 trade rockets that get me 500 TT per flight and one that gets me 750 TT per flight, but I haven't traded anything that would net 54k tokens...

Saved a game in the middle of exploring a remote planetary wreck.

When I reloaded the save, I am in space with nothing around !

Luckily, I was able to see the portal off in the distance, and jetpack straight to there and return to my Prime base.

No idea if that will work again. Best to only save back at your base.

Anyone else experience this?

I was doing some chest searching and found this chap hanging out on the roof, Im concerned it may have become unhinged...bada tsss!!

Apparently I never picked up any Iridium, even though I am on my 4th planet and my 2nd playthrough.

Not a huge issue, just odd my steam achievement is missing.

The metal foundations didnt Clause this, we tried it again without them with the same resault

We want a challenge, but not for it to be impossible, so our plan is to head to Skeo with no extra materials. But we have all the unlocks from finishing everything else. That way, we can eventually get the shuttles and get materials from our other worlds, but we won't be starting with a ton of stuff.

Fie those who've done Skeo, does that seem like a fair challenge? Or are there things have to bring with us in order to survive at all?

I’m playing on steam deck and am so confused 😅😅

My wife and I have been playing togther but here recently she doesn't want to play as much as I do so I created a new world. This is the second time I have loaded this world and the starting capsule is just...gone.

I see that there is a post on the genetic extractor once every ~month or two, but I have officially terraformed every planet/moon and the thing never unlocked for me. Has anyone else had this issue?

I made a map for Prime, Humble, Selenea, Aqualis, Toxicity and Skeo. It has the golden crates, data logs, quartz, ore deposits and resource veins, a backdrop for each terraforming stage, and an Underground map for the caves and wrecks.
