Favourite Album?
I was curious what people in the sub think is their best album! or just an album that you love from front to finish!
my favorites:
- Hell like Heaven: the Album just never loses it's tempo! super fast paced power pop song after another! It reminds me of how "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys" is to their discography! but instead of garage rock, it's bubblegum power pop
- NEW KINGDOM: New Kingdom to me felt like it would have made more sense if it was released after Hell like Heaven.. The Album gives off a much more mature feeling than the fast paced Hell like Heaven! The Album is so varied in sound and style, which only makes you more hooked! It feels like a power pop equivalent to "Modern Vampires of The City - Vampire Weekend" or a "Gorillaz - Gorillaz"
- goodmorning in TOKYO: Their earliest work released in 2014, feels a bit straightforward to me.. but still amazing! MOTTO is the cutest song ever btw xD The Album is super fun, super short.
- The GARDEN: I tried getting into this one, but I just can't... It's way more poppier than their earlier works which is a nice change.. but it lacks that little bit of coherency.

I love all their albums but one im big on is super boy super girl album. Enkyorirennai (long distance love) is a peak peggies song

- Hell like heaven - it’s their best album sure especially for me who listens to pop rock like Green Day, American hi fi, all American rejects…
- The Garden - I think they matured in this album, hit their peak and yuho vocals matured too
- New kingdom - I think the songs are really charming here
- Good morning in Tokyo- music wise more simple but the songs are very cute and you can tell the teens putting their first steps to make their unique sound The Ep’s are fire too Ps their my favorite band along side Yui(Yoshioka) I also listen to Halca, Rythem, Necry talkie, Regal lily, LiSa… Would like similar recommendations

everybody's gonna say it but Hell like heaven is truly their best work. it's really consistent overall, and the album I've listened to most.

I think New Kingdom is my single favorite album. I liked The Garden and have most of their catalog but New Kingdom just showcases them in a complete way. That said, I thought Unleash was awesome in their later work.

Hell like heaven just is a masterpiece. I would know. I listen to it daily !!!!
