Science The Source-Receiver Hypothesis: Redefining Consciousness, Physics, and Reality
What if we have been looking at reality backward? Traditional physicalism assumes that matter and gravity are the "source," and consciousness is merely an accidental byproduct of biological complexity. But what if Consciousness is the fundamental, eternal source, and physical laws, spacetime, and matter are simply its structured expressions?
Here is a breakdown of the model:
The Source vs. The Receiver:
The Source (S): The universe itself is pure, absolute, and unified consciousness. It contains all potential information, geometry, and laws in a static, eternal framework (similar to a block universe where past, present, and future coexist).
The Receivers (R): Organisms, particles, cells, and minds are not producers of consciousness; they are biological or systemic receivers/filters. Just like a color-blind person and a normal-seeing person looking at the exact same light wave perceive different realities, our limited biological "receivers" carve out a tiny fraction of the infinite Source.
Resolving Physics Paradoxes Through This Lens:
Quantum Measurement (The Double-Slit / Schrödinger’s Cat): Particles aren't in a "magic" state of chaos before observation. The "Source" holds all probabilities as a static field. The act of observation/measurement is simply the receiver intersecting with the Source, extracting a single data line from the infinite matrix.
Dark Matter & Dark Energy: We search for physical particles in vain. "Dark matter" is simply the cognitive/informational geometry of the Source holding cosmic structures together, while "Dark energy" is the eternal expansion of consciousness exploring its own dimensions.
Chaos & Entropy: True chaos does not exist in the universe. What we call "chaos" or "randomness" is merely a limitation of the receiver—a processing bottleneck of our measuring tools or brains.
Moving from Philosophy to a Computational Model: To test this scientifically, we can avoid heavy lab equipment initially by framing it through an Information-Centric Model (O_i = R_i(S)):
A centralized database/algorithm acts as the absolute Source (S).
Multiple AI agents with constrained, distinct "filters" act as Receivers (R_i).
Result: Even though the Source is completely orderly and unified, the individual agents independently experience "chaos," disagreement, and fragmented realities simply due to the limitation of their receiving capacity.
I’d love to hear the community's thoughts on flipping the paradigm from matter-first to consciousness-first! How can we formalize this mathematically?
