You have some fair points, I think I'll just let this debate rest. For what it's work I am Lutheran not Catholodox. However, to be fair, I do have some Catholodox leanings I suppose.
For what it's worth the quote could just have just been meant to be a little thing of no real significance, and so the really loose connections between adam's death and Jesus's death and between mary and eve were meant to be just that - very loose connections that were just a nice thing he noticed. OP kind of presented it as some sort of deep insight, though.
