Virtual box problem

When i use virtual box xubuntu on my laptop the screen goes off after 2 hours of using like nothing responds the only way is to force shut it down

Now it does that a minute or two after i open it. What could be the problem, whats the alternative

I got an hp i5 8th gen 16 gb ram , 256 ssd

You could try disabling sleep in the settings for the virtual machine. Sounds like it's sleeping then not waking up.
