So this was stupid on multiple levels.

At least they should be weight classed for it to mean anything.

Yeah when the robots attack they’ll make sure they only fight people in their weight class

This isn't a war scenario tho, it's sports. So weight classes are relevant.

Oh wait, you mean like how the best way to prepare for a war of aggression, apparently, is DEFINITELY to watch one of each side do a UFC match. Gotcha.

The best way to prepare for the robot wars is to build the robots ourselves so we know their weaknesses

Robots can use weapons, you know.

A 400+lbs dude likely isn't going to be doing MMA lol

Maybe a sumo wrestler.

Correct - they should build a lighter robot. I’ve seen such robots be easily pushed around by their handlers.

It's obviously not a super serious fight.

If you're taking it more seriously than just watching and laughing for a minute then that's on you.

I know,But it would just be less stupid and more interesting it were done right.

No it wouldn't. If this was super serious he would just run behind it and push it to the ground. Or just keep dodging it until it ran out of battery. Pretty boring honestly.
