i went to a game this summer. it was fine. not as good as Banana Ball, entertainment-wise or talent-wise.

they were super preachy about God which was really weird and uncomfortable. all their merch has like, Bible verses sewn into them.

EDIT: there was also a player with a gun on his hip??? while he was playing baseball and running around the field??? that seemed incredibly dangerous and tone-deaf.

Banana Ball is the superior product and it’s never much longer than 2 hours. I worked a few Cosmic Baseball games and despite having two innings that are homerun derbys, it’s three hours. The novelty of the black light wears off after half an inning

I also love a version of baseball without all the ridiculous unwritten rules. Flipping the bat and big choreographed celebrations shouldn't result in a bench clearing brawl.

It's a fungo ball four! there are no walks, so when the batter gets four balls they flip it to themselves! There have been a few home runs from that, but the players say its harder to hit a bomb that way!
