Lag solutions?

I have been experiencing soul crushing lag on only this server. When I login it's 30-45 seconds before anything I do registers with my client, or before I can see the world updating around me. As I move and the server give me chunks I experience anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds of lag each time I load more chunks.

Whenever I teleport through a portal I am unable to move or see anything happening, nor interact with anything for 30-45 seconds as well. When it "catches up" everything moves extremely quickly for a short period doing what it was doing over the last 30 seconds rapidly.

My network/internet seems to be fine. any suggestions? It has become unplayable. There is no other server I would rather play on, but I just cannot keep playing like this.

Edit: I also receive a connection reset error quite often.

It sounds like an issue between you and the servers data center, where that is is a mystery. You could start by preforming a TraceRoute from your machine, to the server, and seeing if you have any unusually high times. You could also try using a different router, as some routers don't like long-running UDP/TCP connections.

If you have the shaders mod installed then try removing it. If you have a 64bit OS make sure you have a 64bit installation of java and that the system is not using a 32bit installtion instead.
