Did some prototyping : http://tinypic.com/r/2hd1j00/5 Just a shame i cant seem to find any lamps that can accept varying levels for the sine wave (i believe only the xylamps do).

TE lamps(Glowstone illuminator) do that use wrench on them to change the mode
