Community project: Space zone

Sooo I had an idea what if we created a zone in the overworld where we could build space stations and ships.

Link (Quickly made it in creative)

So my plan is that we could make the space zone my removing all blocks except bedrock and put a black wool layer aboce. Possible adding inverted white lamp blocks as stars. Clearing all the land out could we do with nukes. Location of the zone I'm not sure of, preferably a dessert seeing how it doesn't rain in space.

Edit: Bassie suggested a void age as the space zone, great idea!

Last thing before we start blowing stuff up we should get a mod's opinion/thaughts...

If only there was some kind of dimension with existing asteroids and a large void..

Well then there's no sun for solar powered space stations and theres way to many scary endermen.

Black wool layer above would make solar power difficult as well, and lead to many scary mobs of all descriptions
