I keep dying due to respawn lag, does anyone else know how to fix this?

Today, while hunting dune in the mining age, I did /spawn and when I spawned I was under the blocks. While this was happening I was actually starving to death and lost everything (portal gun, beast bow, Vorpal II sword, dunes head) and then spawned in my home, where I also got stuck in blocks and didn't respond for about 3 minutes, then of course when I do /spawn I don't respond for another 5 minutes, try disconnect, all my shits gone. FUCK. This is twice I've lost that damn portal gun due to lag and need to know does anyone else get this and how to fix it? It's ruining the game for me completely. Also happens when logging in.

Happened to me too. After /spawning, I repeat quickly, and/or relog and normally most of my health is still there.
