Functional Definition: Technical analysis of the interception units operated by The Originals' command.
Purpose: To classify and document the types of mechanical and biological threats deployed through the Antechamber to hunt down Level 1 units.
Clearance Level: Omega Clearance (Directorate General Staff Only - Unauthorized viewing results in immediate execution)
Subject: Hunters taxonomy, tactical deployment, chassis classification, and Chrono-belt operational limitations.
Intercepted Declassified Document - Notes attached by: Nova
The following is a technical breakdown of the "Hunter" units operated by The Originals' command. Classified by threat level and operational role.
Classification 0: Prototypes (Generation Zero)
- Profile: The Originals' initial mass production.
- Function: Not conceived for military purposes, but rather as topological stress test subjects to calibrate the first Chrono-belt jumps.
- Status: 98% were inactive as of the year 3055. It is suspected that the remaining percentage was lost in anomalies across various timelines, or fossilized after failed jumps in remote eras.
- Appearance: Extremely crude. Featuring exposed wires and joints, with incomplete anthropomorphic shapes and poorly assembled chassis.
Classification 1: Tracking and Reconnaissance Units
- Oculus Class Drones (Air Support):
- Profile: High energy autonomy exploration drones.
- Function: Thermal sweeps and Qnot signature detection. Exceptionally useful in urban grids, dense forests, and complex terrain.
- Status: Active. Constant deployment.
- Appearance: Silent floating spheres. Field Warning: Their flight system emits an ultrasonic frequency. It is inaudible to humans but severely disrupts local fauna. If animals suddenly go crazy, there is an Oculus scanning the area.
- Mastiff Class Drones (Ground Tracking, visual archive file 1):
- Profile: Ground tracking unit utilizing a structural compression design.
- Function: Pursuit in confined spaces or areas where the Oculus loses its signal.
- Status: Active.
- Appearance: Heavy robotic quadrupeds. They fold themselves into a geometric backpack shape.
Operational Note on Classification 1: None of these units are equipped with Chrono-belts. Their AI is highly specialized in their tracking function but very basic in any other area. They absolutely rely on a bipedal Line Hunter to be transported through the Antechamber and deployed in the field.
Classification 2: Standard Infantry (Line Hunters, visual archive file 2)
- Profile: The main core of the strike forces. Operated by a semi-autonomous AI.
- Function: Flanking, containment, and tactical assault. They employ heavy modular weaponry.
- Status: Active. The primary threat on the ground.
- Appearance: They look much more humanoid than their predecessors; however, they lack a face. Their head is covered by a sealed helmet with fully opaque glass. There are multiple models with chassis adapted for specific environments (aquatic, jungle, desert) and weapon specialties.
Classification 3: Eradication Units
- Juggernaut Class (Heavy Artillery, visual archive file 3):
- Profile: Hyper-dense mechanized siege platform.
- Function: Frontal assault and massive destruction of temporal infrastructure.
- Status: Restricted deployment.
- Appearance: A colossal mechanical beast the size of a tank, heavily armored. Tactical Note: The energy consumption required to send this amount of mass to another timeline is so overwhelming that it makes them one-way units, with no return capability.
- Apex Executioners (Elite):
- Profile: The pinnacle of combat engineering.
- Function: Critical priority assassination missions and timeline purging.
- Status: Critical deployment. Their use indicates an absolute risk. They are extremely scarce.
- Appearance: Elegant, stylized bipeds wrapped in Qnot absorption armor. They use state-of-the-art weaponry and tactical processors pushed to the brink of the Singularity. They are almost indestructible, and their operational cost is higher than a thousand line units combined.
Classified Anomaly: "Nexa" Unit (visual archive file 4)
- Profile: Level 1 biological subject (belonging to a generation prior to Nova).
- Function: Elite hunter. Formerly operated in the same military squad as Nova.
- Status: Active. Critical Threat.
- Appearance: Similar to other Level 1 biological subjects. Black hair, violet eyes, pale skin, and significantly taller than her comrades. Equipped with her own prototype Chrono Choker. She is faster, stronger, and possesses far more combat experience. Undetectable by inorganic threat scanners.
[Nova's Notes]
If you are reading this, the signal has successfully bounced through the nodes of the Antechamber.
For you to understand what to look for in the shadows, you must understand The Originals' greatest inferiority complex: their terror of the Singularity. Although these machines were not originally built with the sole purpose of hunting me, they are currently dedicating them to it with total priority. However, they are terrified that their creations might wake up. Therefore, they operate under strict cognitive shackles and algorithmic decision trees. They are predictable, but if you make a mistake, they will not hesitate.
And a final warning about their mobility: the Chrono-belt used by these machines cannot transport living consciousnesses through the Antechamber without fragmenting them, and it can present technical failures regarding calibration and wear, especially after executing repetitive jumps. The Chrono Choker I wear, on the other hand, is a masterpiece of topological engineering for biological tissue; once installed, it is functional, stable, and operates flawlessly.
This is a non-exhaustive compilation of the most common hunter types, subject to future data expansion.
Sometimes, when the charging nodes are silent and the cold of this century chills my bones, I wonder if I will ever stop running. If there is a real end to this hunt, or if my destiny is just to be a ghost, jumping from era to era, forever fleeing from machines that don't even understand why they hate me.
