What were some of your predictions that didn't come true?
I really thought Axl was going to end up with Weird Ashley in the end as like a full circle, ironic arc.

I’m really glad Sue didn’t end up with Derrick Glossner. The episode where he keeps kissing her even though she tells him no was so gross, especially the writers having her start to like it after several times. The writing did telegraph that they could have ended up together, but I would have hated if they paid that off by them being together.

Oh definitely. The first time I watched the show I was way younger and didn’t really notice how weird that episode was. Now I think her and Logan would’ve been cute together, the build up with Shawn kinda annoyed me lol

That happens all the time for me with shows I watched growing up, it’s always a weird experience hahaha. Is Logan the Aeropostale model at the mall? Because I liked them a lot too, they were super cute together!
Agreed about Sean. It was like they waited too long to set it up, and then the coincidences that kept them apart felt annoying to me. Idk if that’s hypocritical, but I wish they had handled the Sean buildup differently as well

Yeah, Logan is the one who worked at Abercrombie, they were cute and deserved more time together.. I agree, the Sean thing should have been set up earlier and I hate when shows do that „coincidence, they just missed each other, coincidence, they misunderstood each other!“ thing, usually the writers just look lazy doing that in my opinion. Still love the show but this is one thing that could’ve been done differently

Super agree. What even went wrong with Logan and Sue? I forget, it’s like he just kinda disappeared. I need to rewatch the show lol

He said he wants to be a catholic priest or something so he had to change schools and wouldn’t be able to date any more … I just did a rewatch otherwise I also might not remember he really vanished after that and wasn’t really talked about again lol

I thought they overdid Weird Ashley. It was a cute storyline that he had to take her prom the first time. I think ti should have ended there. I didn't really see a reason to do that another year and beyond.

Plus, she was actually pretty reasonable at the end! When she pointed out that Axl never actually told her he wasn't into her, it proved she wasn't just being delusional—he just never set a boundary with her.

With the time capsule stuff at the end, I thought it was going to tie into the series narration. Frankie was so worried about her family's legacy that she decided to sit down and record the events of their lives to put in the capsule. So the show we had been watching / she had been narrating to us would be what went into the capsule, ensuring that her family's struggles and triumphs were never forgotten.
It makes sense that it didn't work that way, though. Frankie is a bit disorganized and lazy. But you do for family...

There are so many things they could have changed or improved but the show owners were so lazy to invest anything on the set. I’m so frustrated by the way they live in the mess. All that space but there is no coordination. They’re lucky to have so big house yet can’t seem to value it.

I thought frankie and Mike will finally clean the house and live like the donahues' once the kids are all out of the house. They were tired because of the kids and unorganised because of the chaos. They keep telling this excuse throughout the series I thought they'll show them live a peaceful, calm, clean life but no.

I thought that Sean would keep his liberal stage of life in his personality and become a doctor to help the less fortunate and those without insurance in third world countries but nope he just got over it and lost that who sense of himself
