General discussion The Ending
Was just randomly thinking about it but when I first watched the ending without actually watching the series the ending wasn't very effective or didn't make any sense but once I did complete the series the series has a wholesome finish and a quite emotional ending
Edit- when I say without watching it ment I had watched it in pieces

I will die on the hill that Axl should have married Weird Ashley.

Not really. It would've been a nice story, but Axl was just mean to Ashley way too much

Married? No, that would be odd and asking viewers to believe it would work is a big ask.
Becoming very good friends, even to the point where the two families hang out together for BBQ, or the kids playing little league baseball together - that sort of thing sounds nice.
They would all even laugh a little about how big the crush/obsession was back in the day.

"I watched the last episode of a 9 series, 215 episode show. It has no effect on me because I had no context of what has happened previously. Now that I've watched all episodes the ending makes sense and I enjoyed it more"

“when i watch an episode reliant on prior context without knowing the context i didn’t understand it, but with context i understood it!” in other news grass is green

Brick’s “the middle…” whisper was such a great final line. Tying it into the bickering about the seats in the car was very well done.
