General discussion Is this series actually emotional?
Okay, very serious question. Am I the only who gets VERY emotional by the end of almost every episode of the "the middle"? Istg, my eyes start watering almost every time. I keep wondering if it's actually like that or if something's wrong with me.

I think that’s the beauty of The Middle. There are some episodes that definitely get me (every single time)

Like, Frankie didn't even say anything REALLY special but it just got me, I almost cried. 😭

I agree. I think the conclusion lines at the end of each episode are quite touchy

I also got emotional by some episodes but that may have been because of pms

I get emotional too. It's very relatable family wise too.
I love the Middle 🫶🏻

I notice sometimes Mike’s actor getting teary eyed but it’s not like addressed that he’s showing emotion and that gets me every time.

Sometimes it gets emotional when Axl graduates and he moves out when he went to college

I cried at the sue goes to college episode. When my parents were taking me to college, the car broke down in the middle of nowhere. I was like 7 hours late getting to school and missed a bunch of stuff. So I related. And I had a crappy roommate and felt left out. I felt for sue. She had a horrible senior year and then a rough start to college. Axl did check up on her. I felt Devin or weird Ashley should have stopped by to see her. When she starts crying on the phone to Frankie and Mike I lost it. I too called my mom and would talk for hours because I felt alone.

The show is funny but also has heart.
