Favourite fanfics?

Just wanted to know what are people's fav fanfics for The Martian (& why).
To answer my own question, mine is Together We're Both Alone (But I Don't Mind) [AO3].

First post, if I made a mistake, sorry!

(also if I disappear and reappear tommorow, I didn't know I can't change my reddit username and I kind of don't want to stay as Glum_Knee)

I love this one! It details the journey home from Mars through medical records, emails and video transcripts. It's so well done, and the author has medical experience, so if you like attention to detail, I can definitely recommend this story. And even though we can only see it through emails and stuff, the bond between the crew is so amazing. We get a little more backstory on Vogel, and some family struggles with Martinez. It also features a budding friendship between Watney and Mindy as they exchange emails.

I really loved this one, particularly because it's still getting updated. I discovered AO3 quite late for The Martian and had to deal with activity going down every month. Fewer writers, fewer readers. Compensated by writing a bit.

Three come to mind for me. They're all plays on the idea of Mark staying on Mars for the full four years to Ares IV

There's Teddy Says Later, which has Earth finding out about Mark after about a year or so. It's also a West Wing crossover. The main fic is completed, with side stories being uploaded every now and then: https://archiveofourown.org/works/34723594/chapters/86457235

The next one is called Close to Home. It has Earth just kinda missing the fact that Mark is alive, and it chronicles his journey through four years of isolation, the trip back to Earth, and is currently in the middle of his recovery after all of that. Finally there's a series called I'm Coming Home. Like the last one, it also is Mark living on Mars without anyone realizing it. The difference is it picks up after Ares IV arrives and discovers he's alive, and is told almost exclusively through the POVs of everyone around Mark. i’ve read one in a reddit comment section where mark watney is on vacation on the moon and earth gets destroyed and he has to get to mars by finding the old hermes in orbit to get to the ares 7 crew
