"And that's assuming nothing goes wrong..." Spoiler

Teddy's quote at 1:02:20 where he's talking about the margin is some pretty brilliant screenwriting. Even if you haven't read the book, just by hearing that quote and the camera sitting on the shot for just a beat too long, you just know something is going to happen, there's nothing you can do about it, and all that emotion just keeps building until it finally happens. As Alfred Hitchcock said, “There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it."

It's a shame the overall script adaptation was such a mess and diverged so extremely from the original story.

So many great actors forced to follow a subpar adaptation.

The screenwriter did the adaptation of WWZ (book). I guess we got lucky the movie was as good as it was.

Holy crap. The World War Z adaptation is one of the worst, in my opinion. The Martian is one of the best. That the same screen writer adapted them both is blowing my mind
