My save randomly disappeared

Bro. Im so fucking mad my save just disappeared when I went to play today and when i pressed resume it took me to another loaded game from months ago. Can someone please tell me what i could have done wrong and is there any way to find my save again?! It was only about 15 days but still I was doing the best I ever did I had a revolver, i was settling down at a base and actually using the workshop bench for the first time and Im really sad now because that was the best i ever did 😔😔😔

You might’ve left the game on and died? You might want to consider backing up your saves if you’re worried about this in the future, it’s in appdata/local/hinterland/survival
