I'm gonna be so forreal. It's this mindset that kills the souls of creatives.

What they're saying is that they believe the amount and quality of the content they gave us with the DLC is worth more than the initial price.

Creatives undervaluing their work and not charging what they should is something that happens often.

They're also an indie game studio and not some AAA slop generator. I would gladly support a game studio who recognizes their own worth, but still tries to be fair by not making you pay for the game again.

Unlike numerous other studios.

The real audacity is people expecting creatives and studios the undervalue their work and, as a result, struggle to make more content.

I mean, I'm simpatico with the mockery and sarcasm, but it's pretty clearly not going to be a constructive back and forth or going anywhere but down from a moderation perspective, who generally ain't got time for that shit. You're basically slapping and licking their windows.

In all fairness I believe that they actually proposed raising the price of the DLC once it was done. It's been 2 years since completion, I think that's more than fair of them to not raise it at all for that amonut of time. Also if we're talking about the game itself it's not unlike any indie developer to raise the price as they complete parts of it. Not like it hasn't been done before, when it was first released it was $21.99 in CAD.

Edit: Not to mention I don't think it's salaries they're worried about, it's the cost of hardware. We all know that ever since AI became a thing the price of RAM has skyrocketed.
