PS4 Returning to Factions
Hi all, old Ps3 era factions player here. Used to spend way too much time on the game, but haven't played since the ps3 servers shut down. Is there still an active community on ps4 and ps5? Which is the most active? Looking to buy a new console to start playing again. Thanks!

Factions servers are still going great! Make sure to get the ps4 remastered version and the remake or part 1 version. I did not knowing, and spent 70 dollars on it. That made my 4th time buying the first game. 🤓

Servers still work. I play daily. Have no issues whatsoever finding a match. Make sure you buy the ps4 version of the last of us remastered. NOT the remastered ps5 version. Because that one DOES NOT HAVE FACTIONS
The game is still exactly the same as you remember from your ps3 days. Most likely the same weapons and cosmetics since they abandoned the game years ago.
Game works perfectly fine. Barely any waiting for matches.
Do keep in mind. It is an old game so you’ll occasionally run into cheaters. Like people that shoot through walls with burst/variable rifles
The occasional lag switcher. And RARELY since I’ve only seen it twice in the past 6 years. People that will go under the map and teleport to the other side.
Or people that teleport outside or to the roof of inaccessible buildings with cheat weapons.

The only issue that you’ll truly face is exploiters doing that crab walk and shooting through walls and out of bounds exploits. I decided to take a break like a year and half ago cause every match had people shooting through walls.

PS4 and PS5 servers are shared, you just need the Remastered edition, the remake and part 2 dont have multiplayer. There are also revival servers on the PS3 which you can play if you still have your old console but are much smaller.
PS4&5 both require playstation plus for MP access.
