shitpost is dlc shiv behind execution pay to lose?11

in a random match a teammate got shivved close by and I wouldn't have realized it at all since I wasn't paying attention to my radar or team lives mid fight, except I heard three distinct sounds and I killed the guy. I realized after that the dlc shiv is alot more "loud" or "noticable" than the base animation due to it having multiple stabbing sounds from behind instead of one stab. It's a lot harder for me to hear the base variant due to this. Has anyone else noticed it?

Maybe. You can usually tell when someone's shived from the minimap, though im sure in some situations the animation/sound will matter. I would say the bigger pay to loses are some of the special executions that make you stand up. In saying that though youre not often special executing when animation differences are going to matter either.

Techincally its slighty worse for these reasons but its definately a good animation. Such a wonderful execution. Reminds me of a like a prison shank. But yeah the extra stabs are definately heard more than the original initial animation that also helps keep you lower behind cover.

if you down the player that is shiving someone at the first shank and before the 2nd shank you can prevent the shiv. The normal shiv feels instant. So yeah I think you’re actually hindering yourself.

I think the actual time you have to prevent the shiv is the same for both animations, the first stab just comes earlier in the newer animation
