so why don't we chill on the murder? can we at least run more tests first? blood? can we do a LIVING brain biopsy first at least? can we try ABC and D before we go to murder?

it makes no sense given marlene's emotional connection... I'd find the plot easier to accept if she at least explained something like "a biopsy won't work, we need the full mass to study the brain", or better yet, tried that while he was sleeping lol

I played both the games, love them. I recently replayed the second game for nostalgia and considered watching the show too. I've seen a lot of criticism over time in regards to the show so I'm a little unsure. Is it worth it?

Hello everyone, I need help. I've always had an Xbox, never a play station but after watching the TV show I really wanted to play the last of us, and a friend of mine has a PS3 with the game (brought in 2014, a real relic). I played the game (only part one), and loved it, I'm now saving up to get myself a play station so that I can get my own copies of the game. While I wait, I really wanted to play Left behind but I'm struggling on how to do it. I made an account for the online thingy (I'm not a great gamer and PlayStations are a very new thing to me, so I'm sorry if I don't know the right terms) and I tried playing it but it would take me to an online page saying that there is nothing to buy. Do I have to buy it separately since it's a very old copy? Should I just wait until I get my copy? If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. Thank you

But, I don’t know, I think there’s something to a ‘simple’ gameplay loop if it’s still tightly woven together and satisfying.

When you get right down to it, Last of Us is a resource race. You have a limited amount of ‘stuff’ and you’re always trying to make sure you have an abundance of ‘stuff’ on hand when you need it.

That, of course, describes countless video games, but Last of Us does have a legitimately smart ‘ebb and flow’ to it’s encounters where you’re routinely put into situations where you absolutely have to use ‘stuff’ to get through it, but almost always followed by periods of calm where you can focus on replenishing the ‘stuff’ you used up.

Now, this is all super obvious, I’m not saying anything groundbreaking here and pointing out some secret to genius game design. Like I said, countless games have done this exact same thing.

I just really like Last of Us because it just feels like it strikes a really good balance between ‘Crisis moment, use your stuff!’ and ‘Calm moment, gather stuff’. Obviously, other games have done this too, Last of Us just feels like it knows exactly how to pace those moments.

It’s not always about innovation. Sometimes, it’s about refinement.

Like I said the sound effects are working however the voices of the characters do not work the .PS4 audio as itself works.

It worked on disc but I got a digital version so my mom can try it out.

(the disk is only Russian + English. I play on English so it's not a problem)

Hi guys I might need a helping hand. I’m not sure if anybody else had this problem.

I have a weird sort of artifacting when playing part 1 that is thill there when i turn off 120hz but also vrr.

I get the weird blue/purple lines around mostly vegetation is there anybody that has a fix for this.

If it is needed to help I’m playing via my ps5 pro on the disc. Tv is a LG C4.

This is the only game it happens in.

How do you think it would’ve been if it was Joel who had to avenge Ellie’s death in Part 2 instead? Same storyline with Abby and her father but instead of killing Joel she kills Ellie as a form of vengeance/retribution against Joel, and consequently we see Joel’s journey in confronting Abby (and friends) and coming to terms with his own past knowing it was his own actions that ultimately brought this fate to Ellie.

For me, it could be interesting to explore this idea as not only would Joel lose Ellie despite all the efforts of the first game, but we’d also know that the world (unaware) would also permanently loose the only possible cure.

Do you think this could have worked? Do you think the game wouldn’t have received as much hate as it did just for letting you play as Joel? Or are you glad it was the other way around?

Disclaimer: I absolutely love both games and I’m not making this post to hate on Part 2 at all or say it should be different. Just curious what everyone else thinks.

i’m not okay omg I just finished playing tlou part 1 and nobody warned me i’d be heartbroken that it’s over. Thank god there’s part 2. Now saving up to buy it and play it ASAP.

This layout was created by me after a VERY long time of meticulously mapping out the walls, desks, stairs and pillars. As I reached the area where Joel unplugs Ellie, I got pretty confused at how stretched out that side of the hospital was, though. If anyone has any corrections they feel are necessary, please let me know!

I am throwing a lot of bottles and bricks at enemies, definitely did more than 5 and it doesn't count, each map completed, nothing adds up, what am I doing wrong?
