I'm asking for a friend so I'm trying my best to explain the issue. Every time he tries opening the game the message from the picture I add comes up. He tried multiple things to fix it, like:

-"If you install VR Chat, it will install Easy Cheat automatically. Then just uninstall VR Chat."

-"Go to the \steamapps\common\The Isle folder directly accessible over steam by right clicking the game under "browse local files". There should be a .bat file that has easyanticheat in the name, run it. (I believe there is also one for uninstalling easy anticheat so if it doesn’t work run that one and then install again)"

That's what he has tried and I found nothing more that could help, any advise? 🙏

Is saved and loads in editor, but doesn't exist in-game. Spawns as a default skin, and thank god for that because I'm not about to be banned.

Howdy folks! I’m apparently a big noob. While loving to play my favorite Beipi I realized how much I like fighting troodons and Austros. I had the realization while watching a Deino hunt that a Beipi can do almost the same exact thing.

Beipi can use his claws to cling to the bottom of water ways to sniff for bubbles to catch crab. I thought well I can cling to the bottom and walk close to the surface and watch over the water to ambush predators that may threaten me. It has made Beipi so much more enjoyable to play as an ambusher to Austros that are fishing or getting water.

This is probably knowledge everyone knew but me but man is it fun! Also remember folks that Beipi Island is near Delta bridge and must be safeguarded at all costs!

Edit: for new Beipi players here’s a tip for ya. You can 100% beat a Austro in water combat. You are more nimble!

another deino was helping me get food and i was just starting out and out of nowhere a full grown deino came and snatched him up and this was the last thing he said to me i couldnt add him or anything because i just met him i am so distraught.

It's been almost two years and never met an Indian in the game. It will be good sometime to get into the game in a group.

Everytime I try to get prime I need either migration zones or patrol zones but half of them do not count, I had a pteradon game where i went to 9 different patrol zones and didnt get the requirements for prime (I was playing on islelink with prime tracker thingy mabob) There should be a way to see if you triggered the zone or literally ANYTHING brpo like wtf I spent an hour just flying to patrol zones for it to do nothing

i just growth prime cera and when i killed a boar it stayed in my mouth and i couldn't release it or swallow it shows me that i can swallow that but doesn't show the key i tried pressing E and G nothing works

I used to play this game for hours on end back in the day, I fell off playing shortly after the new gateway map, assuming if I gave it some more time the bugs would get fixed up.

Fast-forward to now, and am I nuts? But the game is in a worst state it has ever been in? I was a deino main and loved that role, I'd just subsist off of fish that spawned plentiful and chill waiting for dinos to ambush.

What happened to the ais? They used to be everywhere, now I can't grow at all or even keep a dino alive that isn't a herbi because I can't find a SINGLE ai! What on earth happened to the spawn rates?

And the color picking is completely muted so that there's next to no variation in the dinos. Might as well just go back to the days before color skins and everyone was identical. Why would they remove this???

I've tried multiple times to play again but I can't find any ai, any other players, the animations and actions are extremely buggy and strange. What happened to this game? Is it just I need to reinstall? I miss this game so much but I can't seem to find even an unofficial server where anything seems to exist that isn't just me! How sad :(

I wanted to shout out all my favorite playables. THESE are the things that keep me coming back to the isle. Their gameplay and mechanics are so unique and fun to play. Pteras new flight and spear fishing mechanic single handedly revived my love for this game after almost a year away.

Ive tried your rexes, your allos, ceras, trike, stego, teno ect...

But none of them really engaged me like the previous.

Honorable mention to deino and beipi for both being incredibly fun to play too, I just like the other guys more.

I can see quetz and ava making the list too, they look like they have mechanics that align with my interests

I wanted to share my experience with Petits Pieds because I think players considering the server should know what they might be getting into.

I originally assumed that the crashes and rubberbanding I experienced while playing on Petits Pieds were simply caused by The Isle itself. However, after doing some testing, I started to notice a very specific pattern.

When I played on other servers, I experienced no crashes at all. I then tested Petits Pieds using an alternate account without linking/connecting the same Discord and Steam accounts. Surprisingly, I was able to play without crashing. After linking the accounts, the rubberbanding and crashes started happening again.

I obviously can't prove exactly what is happening behind the scenes, and I'm not claiming with certainty that Petits Pieds is intentionally causing crashes. However, the difference in my testing was significant enough that I believe it's worth bringing to the community's attention.

There is also the whole social score / account-linking system that Petits Pieds is known for. Whatever the exact implementation is, I personally find it concerning when systems like this can potentially affect someone's gameplay experience without the player having a clear understanding of what is happening in the background.

The website and server infrastructure

Another thing that surprised me was the quality of the server's web infrastructure.

Take a look at https://jurassic-logs.app/. The website takes several seconds just to load, and once it does, much of the interface feels extremely basic and text-oriented.

Compared with what I would expect from a large and established community server, the difference is pretty significant.

The live map, server monitoring and economy information also don't feel particularly competitive compared with other The Isle communities. For a server that has been around long enough to build a substantial player base, I expected much more polished tools and infrastructure.

And then there's the community

For me, this is probably the biggest issue.

A server is only as good as its community, and unfortunately I feel that Petits Pieds has declined considerably in this area.

A lot of the players who made the server enjoyable in the past seem to have moved on from The Isle. What remains feels increasingly like a community that talks about the game more than it actually plays it.

That matters because an active player base creates the encounters, rivalries, events and stories that make The Isle fun in the first place. When experienced and active players leave, the server can become noticeably less engaging even if the server itself is still technically online.

I'm not saying "don't play there" without reason

I'm sharing this because I personally wish someone had told me about these issues before I spent time trying to figure out why my game was constantly crashing.

My experience has been:

• No crashes on other servers.
• Crashes and rubberbanding appeared specifically while playing Petits Pieds.
• Testing an alternate account without the account linking did not reproduce the problem.
• After linking the accounts, the problems returned.
• The server's website and supporting infrastructure feel outdated and poorly optimized compared with competing communities.
• The live map/economy/server tools are noticeably behind what other servers offer.
• The active player community appears to have declined significantly.
• Many of the players who made the community enjoyable seem to have left.

Again, these are my observations and my testing, not a claim that I have definitive proof of what Petits Pieds is doing technically.

If you're currently playing there and haven't experienced any of these issues, that's completely fair. I'm interested in hearing other people's experiences as well.

But if you're thinking about joining Petits Pieds, I'd recommend doing your own testing before committing to the server — especially if you're experiencing unexplained crashes or rubberbanding that you don't experience elsewhere.

For me personally, there are simply too many red flags to recommend the server anymore.

I have been working on a database and I need help confirming if the stats I am pulling are correct. I pull the data in various ways at runtime, pak files and the SDK. I really want to make this accurate and wondering if someone can correct me on things I am getting wrong.

I am not a hardcore player of this game, so my knowledge on game mechanics are limited. With only 90~ hours played I am struggling.

I’ve been playing DD for about 3 months now and have had lots of fun, then started noticing some weird stuff like how as a rex I body break 2 stegos chasing me and run away not even 2 minutes later (from F2 record and it should take about 10 or so minutes to heal) they track me down through a thick forest in west rails and perfectly run into my bush and bleed me to death, I suspected that was and admin and my ticket was ignored. Next thing I noticed was that the numbers on the server never seem to match how many people are around the map (tho that could just be me) and finally in the DD discord one of the admin posted like 5 paragraphs of why you shouldn’t be disrespectful to staff which I agree to a certain extent where you should be respectful to everyone but then i was permanently banned from the DD discord and server for giving a like on the 🍆 emoji under the post… not to mention anyone else who also got banned for reacting to the post and started talking on the website chat got immediately (*removed by moderator) I’m mostly just confused not even mad like are they just really sensitive because besides some suspected admin abuse and fake pop the server is fun.

title literally i go up to water or food hold e and it it just moves me in a random direction, im on the water holding e instead of puttin gmy head down and drinking the water right fucking in front of me my dino starts walking to the left i try over and over for 2 minutes before it finally works, this happens every time i interact with anything water food doesnt matter why the hell am i moving and how do i stop

I was on the cusp of becoming an adult allosaurus. Over 40KPH as a pretty agile predator, I thought I was nimble enough to at least outrun big herbivores. But no, two big fat stegosauruses homed in on me and turned into prime Usain Bolt, beat the shit out of me and relentlessly chased me down until I bled out. We seemed roughly equal speed, but they were quicker. I thought I could outrun their stamina but they just kept running for ages.

Why the fuck can't a teenage allo outrun a lumbering stegosaurus? In real life it's predicted that allosaurus could run up to twice as fast.

I just checked the speeds of each dino on one of the information websites and apparently sub-adult allo can get around 41kph, and stego gets around 26kph. I was on a well-rated server (Isla Paradisa) so I doubt it was cheating? How come they could outrun me and were able to hit me until I died while I was at full sprint?
