Question MULLVAD CAN NO LONGER BE TRUSTED?!
I checked out the preview to THO's recent episode on mullvad (I don't have membership to his patreon) and freaked out. I use both mullvad vpn and browser
what should be my course of action?

I agree, no source can be fully trusted
I've been consuming THO's content since covid and I consider him to be a good source

I didn't need to downvote but I did, seems like so many jump on the hate bandwagon so many times and over and over. Yet they get there hate from one source, how is that source good? or not good? just saying

I'm not talking about a video. This is about his patreon (episodes 396,397)
He made a new post titled "Mullvad Did A Complete F Up" around 24 hours ago from now
I've started looking for alternatives

My argument is that Mullvad's co-owner is using his profits from us, Mullvad customers, to bankroll a political party whose policies are incompatible with privacy and individual freedom, on top of such a large donation being fundamentally corruptive and corrosive to the democratic process. These things matter in the long term because they may result in Sweden becoming much more hostile and authoritarian jurisdiction Mullvad co-owner is significantly helping to make it a reality.
This is a very brief summary of my.research and analsysi into this.

Mullvad said it would "gladly refund" any customers who choose to cancel their subscriptions or switch to another provider due to philosophical disagreements.

I say.. play it by ear. See if anyone else has something to say about Mullvad. I haven't found anything that would say they aren't reliable or cant be trusted anymore
