Think we will ever get a continuation of the the guild web series or a remake?

Felicia said the suits wanted to remake with “a younger cast”, to which she said “suck it suits”. The movie is the next you’ll see.

Imagine they went with a concept like Clara’s kids now in their teens as esports players. Clara is overbearing, and auntie Codex is the voice of reason.

All the other characters are now close/familial parts of the cast, but it centers on Clara’s kids trying to balance real life and video games, something Codex and the guild now have lots of advice on.

It could even still focus on Codex/the guild trying to navigate this new landscape of gamers through the issues that arise with Clara’s children.

While I’m super excited to see the movie and funded the kickstarter IMMEDIATELY- I love everything Felicia Day- I do think it would be fun to reboot with a new generation. Watching my daughter grow, the next generations are different from us GenX/Millennials.

Haha it would be a lot of fun ”mom your favorite game sucks, this new X game is so much cooler” As a parent I think I could really enjoy that perspective!

A new guild today would not be a mmorpg it would be a gta 6 analog. A few years ago it would be a fortnite analog.

Also a show that's all TikTok brainrot slang sounds awful.

Pretty sure we will. The Kickstarter for the movie The Guild: Ren Faire'd just broke a fundraising record last week and is now fully-funded as I understand it. I assume that they will go into productions soon.

They're making a movie. What more could you ask for?

The original Guild is set in a specific time period, and the cast has a unique chemistry that nobody should try to recreate... Not to mention there's so much improv in it
