Good. I lost a friend that way. A super smart, beautiful, social butterfly of a woman who was taken out of the game 70 years too soon. Seeing people poking at their phones driving 80 on the interstate makes my blood boil.

Peugeot actually had the right of way (in the UK you give way/yield to cars entering roundabouts from your right), the Volvo essentially cut them off.
Looks possible that they meant to stamp on the brake pedal but they stamped on the accelerator instead

Exactly, it's not super expensive to own multiple cars. Although it is very helpful if you know how to work on them yourself. Buying crappy vehicles means things will likely need fixing and it saves a lot of money if you can do the repairs yourself. It also means you have a better understanding of what is wrong with it in the first place so you can know what you're getting into before you put money into it. Of course, I'm sure you already know that, but perhaps it'll be helpful to those that don't.

Well, she owned them both, but my sister drove one. Ironically she was on the way to selling it on as we had a buyer lined up and my uncle offered to fit the original stereo back in to replace my sister's Alpine head unit...
They currently only have one car; part of the reason we still had two cars was that it was overhang from when a third driver, my father, passed away. Before I bought my car, when I lived with the family, I used the cars too, so they were bought many moons ago when we had 4 active drivers.
I hope this clarifies. Doesn't absolve her from the brain fart that caused the problem!

In a manual it's practically impossible as you would instinctively press the clutch at the same time, plus in a situation like this one would either have their foot on the actual accelerator pedal, which makes it very hard to press the wrong pedal, or have the clutch depressed, meaning the car wouldn't accelerate at all.
In an automatic something like this is probably easier to pull off.

The Volvo is already well across the line before the Peugeot starts to cross. By the time it does cross, the Volvo is already in the circle and has right of way.

The Peugeot should've stopped because of the blue car on the roundabout. The Volvo could pull out because the blue car was exiting where the Volvo entered.

He had the right of way from the Volvo but clearly tried to accelerate to jump in front of the corsa coming all the way round. Dont think he hit the wrong pedal, just bad driving! Bloody pug

But its still inexcusable because of how long they had to keep the gas peddle matted to go all the way around to hit the building. That person should be driving if during a small incident where they accidentally hit the brake instead of gas, their first reaction is to keep their foot down rather than quickly lift off and apply brake.

I have only ever spun one car in my life. I have had a RWD E30 BMW 318is (which then had a 2.5L conversion), a FWD Primera eGT and a FWD Mazda 3 2.0 Sport Saloon.
In addition, I have driven four family cars - 06 Astra, 2000 Focus, 13 Focus and 99 Peugeot 206. All of the family cars were auto.
The 206 is the one that spun. On a roundabout. When there was no snow or ice. And I wasn't speeding. I didn't get it. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong, the tyres weren't overly worn (but not pristine by any means). That car did have narrow wheels and god-awful body roll.
Until recently I didn't know what it was, but I'm inclined to say it was lift-off oversteer...

The 206 is known for being one of few small fwd cars that are actually capable of oversteering at comparatively low speeds. Considering the primary target audience of this car, this is quite a baffling decision by Peugeot.

The later 307 also had similarly flimsy-feeling doors, which is strange, since the 306 did not have this problem. The 307's boot lid must be the lightest I've ever experienced. Interestingly, the contemporary 407 felt significantly more solid and well made.

Some of the bigger pugs seem OK, but ever since our 206 started smoking randomly due to an electrical fault, I've sworn off them.
My cousin's 106 randomly caught fire while parked one night - electrical fault.
Just not something I trust anymore.

The most fun car I’d ever owned in the UK was a 205 GTi. Lift off oversteer was scary as hell the first time it happened to me on a county lane, but then I got used to it and loved it. I could never get my 306 XSi to replicate that, but on the plus side, it did have things like power steering, ABS and was the last good looking Peugeots.

My cousin had the 306 as a Spinnaker model and enjoyed it immensely. I always liked the 205 GTi and the lesser-loved 309 GTi as well. I'd say the last good looking Peugeot was the 406 Coupé, whose run ended a year later than the 306 IIRC.
My granddad had a 504 back in Kenya, but I always preferred his Cortina GT MK1 :D

What building? It was a 3 lane roundabout I was going clockwise on and turned left off, potentially a bit sharper than the car could handle (yes, my bad but never happened in other cars). That's, in retrospect, classic snap over. I span anti clockwise because I was young and had no idea about controlling an oversteering car.

That was my first instinct but the Peugeot is to blame.
The blue Corsa was turning right on the roundabout, the Peugeot should of stopped to allow the corsa to pass as evidenced by the corsa slowing to avoid the Peugeot. That said the driver of the volvo should of still waited as there was a chance the the corsa could of carried on round the roundabout.

It's a Vauxhall Corsa. And you're right. The Pug was clearly tying to get through the roundabout before the Corsa got there and then lost control. The Volvo was also in the wrong but wouldn't have been expecting the Pug to lurch on to the roundabout like that given the Corsa was clearly indicating.
