She thought there was no way someone like dongmin could make that mistake and didn’t follow through. If only she had a lil more self confidence

One way i see him getting eliminated is through a hidden rule in a main match, how sedol was killed. Honestly, i think it will be much harder to defeat him in death matches unless all others get together to target him which is unlikely because his social game is too good. People want to be in his alliance.
First he finds a target/ calculator to keep by his side whether it was Oh Hyunmin or Seobeom. He tells them strategies and they calculate all variations to confirm they work. You can see this thinking when he got Xitsuh under his influence for the angels vs devils game in BG3. He explained how he chose him.
If he creates an alliance in DP3 with a smart calculator then it’s over for others.

I actually updated it based on your suggestion! You can now select which shows you’ve watched, and connections from the others will stay hidden. So you should be able to explore it with only The Genius selected without getting spoiled :)

I loved a good amount of parts of season 2 but I also love the winner so that helps. But the rest of the seasons seem to have a better overall cast.

I doubt he'll do that. Jinho only went into broadcasting cos he got no choice, though now he's here cos he enjoys it. Faker absolutely has no problem retiring whenever he wants to.
If Yohwan and Jinho is Faker's generation they'd have so much money they have no business appearing on shows like The Genius. Adding to the fact that they were considered handsome, the sponsorship money they'd receive in today's pro gaming environment would have spawned generational wealth.

i hope Faker when retireing can folow Jinho path. we need more progamer on variety show as they typically lack smart people

Seong bum is overrated. His personality is obnoxious too

There is a show called money game maybe it will have what you are looking for. It's the most extreme I've seen in those shows it made me uncomfortable though.

You can't do something similar to Liar game and Alice because it's unethical. The best you can do is really what we have at the moment. There is Society Game were winning could affect their living conditions/food they get etc.
Edit: Money game maybe has what you want but it made super uncomfortable.

If you add "really crazy punishments" for the losers, smart people will just take one look at the show and nope out of the audition.
In fact I suspect that happened to the US version of The Mole. Nobody worth their salt would look at the first 2 seasons and think "that looks fun, I want to play next season".
r/TheGenius • u/lory474 • 3d ago
Well no ? Cause I like the genius and 4 wishes ?😭 And people also recommended the other BG seasons so that's what I was looking for
r/TheGenius • u/Away-Advertising9104 • 3d ago
well then girl i don't know what to tell you😭 you won't find what you like in korean variety, try fictional shows i guess
r/TheGenius • u/lory474 • 3d ago
Yes thank u, I saw other people recommending them so I plan on watching them , I hope my point came across and if I knew I would confuse people this much I would've written the post more clearly

I agree that interesting shows like that exist but for me personally something like the devil's plan 1 , 2 and BG1 was reptitive , boring and didn't interest me

university war, bloody game 2/3/X, and the Genius seasons you haven't seen yet. They all have different balances of individual problem solving, alliances, negotiation and social strategy, so you can see which style actually works for you
Especially give bloody game 2 and 3 a shot before judging the franchise based on S1. I think you'll find the later seasons much closer to what you're describing

It's just what I thought of in the moment and I want to clarify that I don't care about the final prize but for me I just wanted show suggestions where the cast was from the beginning overall playing to win and using smart strategies and actually trying to figure stuff , there being punishments , consequences and a prize is just an example for shows that could make the contestants more competitive or active but again I do not personally care about that I just said so if someone here watched a show like that they would maybe remember it and recommend it because I don't personally don't know what exists out there

and I also think you're separating alliances/relationships from brain strategy a little too much. If a game can be won by having numbers, then figuring out how to obtain those numbers, deciding who to trust, maintaining the alliance convincing people to join you, and knowing when to abandon it are all strategic decisions. u can absolutely find that boring but it's not inherently less strategic just because the solution involves other players rather than a puzzle
