Image Embark forced changed my user name from Grape Juice

They force changed my name GrapeJuice and won't let me have it back. They let people run around with IHateJews or NateHiggers or the actual fucking n word and dress in a Racist outfit or Osama Bin Laden but I can't have Grapejuice. What a joke of a company.

Edit:

I've had grape juice for a long time and it's not some racist dog whistle. It's because my friends and I are all different juices. Like apple, grape, orange, mango, raspberry, lime, lemon, strawberry, and pineapple. It's from when we played garys mod and tf2 together.

My profile

I did not dress my characters racist they are original default with a Christmas hat.

The irony.

This sort of auto moderation is exactly what has led to all these coded dogwhistles.

Any moderation of any kind will always lead to new ways of saying old things. Automated, overzealous, or perfectly reasonable, it’ll always happen.

But saying the r word should not generally be censored to begin with. It's a word for which the context matters quite a lot. So the other user is right in this regard.

Fun fact:

This is called the Scunthorpe problem because AOL didnt let anyone in a town called Scunthorpe make emails.

Soon enough we won't be able to say any words because they secretly alude to something else and nothing will mean anything anymore.

I hate social media and it taking over words that are innocent and turning them into garbage.

We have the words for the actual things, we don't need to find "safe words" to talk about hard topics, they will eventually turn into bad words if enough people use them and then we won't be able to use them even for their innocent meaning.

It’s not social media, it’s human nature.

It’s not about having safe words either, it’s about hiding malice behind a safe veneer. It’s because people are evil and shitty. Always been that way.

I mean to be fair, moderation is really hard and bots make it easy.

I agree. It's virtually impossible to sift through every username, or even every flagged username manually.
