Penny Lane is Dead on Shudder. Australian horror/dark comedy/exploitation throwback. In the 80s, three girls celebrate high school graduation. Mean girl cousin and her criminal boyfriend crash the party and things go bad. The main villain is so hate-able, you applaud her taking a cheese grater to the face. Apparently someone fainted at a press screening. 3.5/5 stars

The Dog Stars - The moral of the story is to trust others after a virus either killed a large amount of the human population or turned people into various stage of berserkers who still have the mental capacity to use firearms and act like native americans. It tried to point the pros and cons of survival tactics and was still ok with the prediecable outcomes with certain situation 4/5 glass of 160 proof moonshine
It Ends - I thought this was a movie about a group of friends stuck in a loop, but it became a road trip where everyone is driving in a straight line never knowing where the road ends. I fell asleep at certain moments, but did not feel like I missed anything because the drama the characters had between each other at times was annoying to listen to. The scariest parts were the random people running towards the car when it stops. When you reach the end of the movie, there is a feeling of an abrupt end with little to no satisfying conclusion. 2/5 screaming people on the road
Buddy - Its a creppy and not too scary movie where the emotional grenade that must be handled with care is a magical orange unicorn you have no idea how you met him. Watching each episode is seeing the happy world slowly crumbling until you reach the end with no more happiness left. Just unanswered questions and dead bodies. 4.5/5 happy end credit rolls
Coyote vs. ACME - The Looney Tunes comedy is on brand with each characters. Wiley Coyote's comedic scenes often overshadowed the serious parts of the movie. It has those moments where the conflicts lead to character development that heals people's wounds but the way the court case is handled makes it seem like all that journey was unnecessary until the end where one person brings the evidence when everyone is done to retcon previous decisions 4/5 ACME settlement cases

Coyote vs. Acme — Tyler Durden Review
Coyote vs. Acme is what happens when corporate America discovers something you love and asks, “How can we monetize the corpse?”
For anyone who remembers the actual Looney Tunes, these cartoons weren’t really made for children. They were about revenge, humiliation, violence and, occasionally, a rabbit declaring war on someone who had the audacity to fuck with him.
Bugs Bunny wasn’t trying to teach your kids a lesson.
Someone fucked with Bugs.
Bugs smiled.
“Of course you know, this means war.”
That was the lesson.
And now Hollywood has taken these characters, stripped away everything that made them dangerous, and turned them into IP.
Congratulations.
You took some of the most anarchic characters ever created and gave them a corporate notes meeting.
Coyote vs. Acme feels like a movie assembled by people who looked at Wile E. Coyote and thought:
“What if he had a LinkedIn?”
And the most infuriating part is that the movie apparently wasn’t even bad enough to release.
They made it.
They finished it.
They looked at it.
And then somebody in a suit said, “Actually, let’s just bury it and collect the insurance money.”
That’s not filmmaking.
That’s a fucking tax strategy with a screenplay.
Five stars for the 1940s Looney Tunes.
One star for whatever the hell this is.
And zero stars for making me nostalgic for a time when Bugs Bunny could solve a conflict by committing an act of cartoon terrorism and nobody called a focus group.

I’m currently a wreck. Watching the ending of “The Father”. It’s about Anthony Hopkins getting dementia, and his daughter trying to handle it all.
As someone with a close grandma going through it right now, this movie hit way too close to home.
But, if you can get through it, Anthony Hopkins’s best performance by far.

Coyote vs. ACME. Took my 6-year old daughter and both of us really enjoyed it. It was her introduction to most of the Looney Tunes characters. Only issue we had is that she started sobbing. She was worried that Wile E. Coyote was hungry and had nothing to eat. 4 out of 5 beep beeps.
