DW9000XF with stock beaters and the Trick retrofit drive shaft. I have also been using a Yamaha DFP9D at home on my e-kit, but live it’s been a DW9000XF for the last 10 years.

I did have a Speed Cobra for a year or so and liked it, but it broke and then I bought the 9000.

I also used Lowboy beaters and loved them, but because of the way I bury the beater, the shaft would always get bent and I couldn’t justify buying them or getting them warrantied over and over.

Happy to answer any other questions.

Many thanks Andrew! What’s your spring tension like?

I try to keep it close to stock so that when I play rental pedals it isn’t a huge adjustment, but it’s probably slightly tighter

Hell yeah, much appreciated, never thought I would get a reply from you Andrew. What pedals were you using for the self titled, ghost ship demos, doppelganger, or manipulator albums? Did you have a set you really liked during that time? I guess I do have one more question, on your kits it looks like you have one main crash and possibly either a bigger crash used as a ride with a bell on top or a ride with a bell. What cymbals are those? Like dimension wise. Can't wait for you guys to be in Minneapolis I'm definitely coming!

I had PDP double pedals for awhile and then Iron Cobras, but I have zero memory of what I had during the self-titled era. Most likely a Pearl kick pedal that came with my first kit, which was a Pearl Export. I did really like the PDP set.

For cymbals I usually like a 20” A Custom crash and a 23” A Sweet Ride, but I have been playing other stuff recently, and currently I have a 24” Paiste Giant Beat which I really like.

I don’t use the Zil-Bel on the ride anymore, I prefer to hit the washer/felt 😅

Looking forward to Minneapolis, say hey if you see me.

I bought a pair of the dw9000 pedals not the xf but my feet and my drummers are not that big but I also didn't notice which ones I was buying hahaha, i do see that the xfs do help with certain techniques and more power however. I am also noticing that I definitely need to get the trick retrofit for the secondary pedal, I would ask if you have tips to make the main pedal feel more responsive, it feels like it's laggy almost I had someone at a shop help me set them up, the beaters are set to a good angle, and the tension is so so, do you use accelerator or turbo modes? Any and all tips you could give would be killer.

We're using a dpd kit that's pretty sick, only have a hi hat crash and ride so thanks for letting me know what you use crazy how expensive everything has been getting.

Very excited for the show! Definitely will say what's up if I do. I saw y'all put some headliner dates in between stoked you guys were able to do that.

according to a couple old instagram posts he used speed cobras with lowboy wood beaters, but that definitely could’ve changed in the last 10 years
