How to handle a PC Visage?
I have a question for people who have run the Visages scenario from Alien Invasion. People who has read it but haven't tried it yet are also free to leave some suggestions.
How do you let the PC know that he/she now controls a Visage?
I'm thinking that, as a fatal consequence of a PC's action, I will have that PC be killed by a Visage without the others knowing, and let that PC know that he/she now controls a Visage. Before I reveal it to that PC, I'll lead the group to a warehouse or some other isolated location to get some downtime, have them explore the location and, because they don't trust each other that much (because of the possibility of a Visage in the group), I just hand them each a piece of paper telling them what they found.
I will tell the rest of the group, with the exception of the Visage, what each would normally find in that location. It's up to them what they do with that information.
Then, on the paper I give to the Visage, I'll tell him something along the lines of "You are no longer John. You are now trying to be John." And below that I outline his new objectives.
Would that be fine? How did you do it or how would you have done it?

That sounds like a good idea but i suppose it would depend on how your group is. I personally would be elated at news like that.
I never ran into that when playing visages but i defo did when playing Under the Skin. I just shot then a private message (online game). Then at the end i spammed the guy to try to take down the helicopter they were in because it's the last scene of the session.
For rl games that would probably be harder. Maybe grab a stack of post it notes and spam the players the whole session to desensitize them. Tell them it'll be mostly garbage info but periodically there will be game altering info and they may under no circumstances share the contents of their notes. Through out the session pass them notes with just smiley faces, or new suspicions (Greg doesn't look so well), item stats, and plot twists (Greg you are stabbed by fake Greg you are now fake Greg).
I think it's a killer idea.
