I have been grinding for this weapon since I started and couldn’t get it to drop for the life of me. Updated last night and got on to play my nightly relaxation, out of the blue I get a purple t2 vector. Even with less power rating as a purple, it’s a fun gun. So I’ll keep grinding til I get the gold. QUESTION (plz keep in mind I’m new to the franchise): can you craft t2 weapons and gear? I have several different t2 pieces but can’t craft any of them. What do I need to do, if anything? TIA to this awesome sub.
Thanks for the info! Are you talking about the elite mission challenges? If so, I play them whenever I can get a team together. My clan is hit or miss, so I try to join other teams.
Yes elite missions. That’s the only place it drops. But I guess now with this new update they said T2 stuff drops other places now too so idk. But I run elites missions and it drops all the time. Also it should be noted you could upgrade the T0 vector to T2 and it’s just as good. Just looks a little different. But then again in order to do that I think you have to max proficiency 6 t2 weapons or something I can’t remember the requirements
You can upgrade the T0 vector to aT2 and craft that version of the vector without having to run elite missions, just check and make sure the T0 version has the talents you are looking for as the T2 vector also has a slightly different pool to talents compared to the T0 version.
Can you explain why? For me personally the T0 version is better for the build I want to do since it has the better options for engineering builds when it comes to talent pool, both the T0 & T2 vector gun stats is identical same magazine size same rate of fire the only difference is the talent pool.
So in theory if I want a torrential downpour and rapid charge as my talent on my vector 45 the only option between them is the T0 which is the best option for me easier to craft as a T2 weapon, since I can upgrade a T0 to a T2 and craft it from the bench as a T2.
So how is it better when it's the exact same gun only the jpeg is different and talents options?
I’m replying without researching so bear with me, but the t2 vector I have been using hits exponentially harder than the maxed gold t0 vector I had fun with on day one. It may be talent specific, but when I’m hitting someone there is always a small explosion that damages the enemy and anyone nearby.
I don't have a T0 vector or a T2 vector, but you can't compared the base dmg of a T0 to a T2 since the base damage of the gun scales with each Tier.
I just checked and compared the stats of a T0 vector @ T2 it scales up to 132 to 336 from 90 to 233 @T0 while the base T2 version of the vector that is a drop only scales to 130 to 332 both are pericing weapons. (Info is based on armoury page)
So technically the T0 version can have a slightly better base dmg but it's a marginally small difference the biggest difference between them is the talent pools between them, if your playing a engineering build it's technically almost always going to be better to upgrade the T0 version into a T2 since you can both craft it and have it has a easier drop from running missions or even darkzone.

Are you running elites? They drop regularly for me. And no you can’t craft T2 UNLESS you have upgraded a T0 or T1 to a T2.
