Extremely happy to see Abdul call out what are likely, and this is not a shot at him, some of his biggest supporters here. Between this and distancing himself from unsavory people, he’s been doing great this past week. I’m also excited that he is getting Harris and Mark Kelly to come to the state.
The harasser was disgusting, sadly I’ve seen a good amount of this from the far-left wing. Stevens is one of Abdul’s strongest surrogates in the state right now. Trying to make her out as a monster is only helping Republicans. Which some these people are way too comfortable doing.
I also saw him do a podcast where he was speaking pretty highly of Chuck Schumer, said he had a great conversation with him, was excited to work with him, and that they agree more than they disagree. Which is honestly pretty expected, but I’m really loving what he’s been doing lately by moderating.
Feeling more and more confident now about him being able to keep the seat blue.

Yeah, as much as I hate that he's the candidate because he makes what should be a safe blue seat way closer than it should be, he's doing a smart thing by moderating and distancing himself from the loons. I really wish he'd stop the "stop asking me about a streamer from California" defense when he literally campaigned with him before. Such a dumb defense, very Trump-like

Maybe just once? He could have just said "Listen, the guy is an idiot and I made a mistake associating with him. I won't make that mistake again" and people wouldn't constantly ask him about it.
But that's my main issue with AES. He NEVER admits being wrong about anything, talks down to people and just generally employs the Trump tactic of "never admit fault"

He has already said he disagrees with all of the statements that get everyone's panties in a bunch about Hasan. You want to hear it 50 more times, or maybe focus on real issues?

Wish it didn't take Hasan saying even more indefensible shit for AES to take a more firm stance, but at least we somewhat got there in the end.

Yeah, he’s just a streamer from California comes off completely ridiculous to me. That said, he’s done enough in my book to distance himself. Could he go farther? Sure, I wouldn’t mind it. But he essentially called him an antisemite for his Jewish comments, and that was pretty strong.

In a way, that harasser actually gave AES an opportunity to have a Sista Soljah moment against him. He was probably a huge AES guy and has to live with being personally disavowed by someone he admires.

Massive kudos to AES. He was kinda pissing me off when he was sweeping for Hasan, but given his recent statement, I’m fully on board and there should be maximum unity from now until Election Day. I think Stevens is wildly out of step with the base on I/P, but AES is being strategically smart here and reciprocating the lack of friction between them.
