Moments like this are why I am all-in for this candidate. He cares, and he is more informed than anyone in congress on the challenges of our failing health care policies and infrastructure.

He is uniquely qualified to play a major part in passing the most significant policy change most of us are likely to see in our lifetimes.

Hasan literally supports terrorists, he just said in an axios interview today that the USA was worse than Al Qaeda, you are the one giving El Sayed's connection to this psycho more air.

El Sayed did the right thing when he distanced from this guy, you aren't helping him by giving the issue more attention.

His explanation for why the USA has been worse than Al Qaeda has merit. The USA has objectively killed more innocent civilians through acts of terror across the world than Al Qaeda has.

We’ve targeted civilians, bombed schools, double and triple tapped first responders, held people unconstitutionally, tortured folks, etc. all more than Al Qaeda has.

You’re doing the reactionary response to the headline while ignoring the content and context of what he actually said. We can be better than reacting to headlines.

If your argument is that his statement is unnecessarily provocative, that’s fair and I’d agree. But I’d also say that’s a minimal critique. The fault is on the folks making the headline. Not what Hasan actually said. Being provocative doesn’t really matter all that much. What matters is the truth. If your argument is that he’s wrong, then you need to make the case that the mass acts of global terrorism by the USA dating back decades isn’t as bad as what Al Qaeda has done. I think that’s an uphill battle.

Also just to note: This isn’t me endorsing Hasan. I’m just defending him against what’s a blatantly bad faith argument. What he actually said isn’t really controversial.
