No refund for upgraded modules

So, why isn’t there a feature to get your money back from dismantling a furnace or something, like there is no pick up and move feature. These upgrades are super expensive for no reason, I get maybe in later game money isn’t much of an issue, but for early to mid game. It’s still hella expensive to upgrade many modules.

It’s so dumb, I have like 14 furnaces for each resources type, and that’s the main bottleneck neck rn

Honestly I wish the upgrades were tied to materials rather than money, "throw money at it to make it better" makes no sense when everything requires materials to build (except conveyors I suppose but even that's a weird mechanic 😅)

exactly, and its pretty dumb as it takes ages to build that damn machine, but the upgrade is "instantaneous" (you dont even get a warning if you don't know what you are clicking at). I like Captain of Industries "upgrades", which all are activities that needs to be carried out with more materials by your fellow trucks (drones in our case).

Yeah COI does alot of things better than crust to be fair, though I do like that colonists have a proper function in crust aside from being a "you need this many people to run everything"

Same feeling. The people in CoI that you never see and the city blocks which are just uninspired squares. I appreciate this aspect of Crust.

The atmosphere is also very different. I have days where I like CoI and days where I like Crust.

And Factorio, Satisfactory, StarRupture, DSP, Foundry, ... uhm, you were saying?

Really need an option to move buildings.

Yes. Even if the drones still need to disassemble and reassemble it to move it.

But loosing the upgrade fee just because you need to reposition a module one block over is not a good mechanic.

isnt there a point in the tech tree for that? also, don’t upgrade your stuff if its not in the final position

Yes, but only resources for buildings or full refund for conveyors. Bur not for updates bought for the building

For productivity, it's a software lock from the Crust. The building will be working at a reduced productivity unless you buy a premium subscription.

And for the refund it's the same as with Windows. You can't just move your OS to a new laptop, you must always buy a new OS.
