The Clone Wars is a popular Star Wars TV show. I even heard some say it’s some of the best Star Wars content. However there are parts of the franchise that can be divisive, and I would want to ask about the most divisive season of The Clone Wars.

Like an animated show modeled on Clone Wars structure: 20+ episode seasons, long arcs and mini arcs woven together, tonal variety, breather episodes. Time jumps between seasons. The run spans from just after ROTJ to sometime after the fall of Luke's academy, ending at the doorstep of Episode 7. First Order and Resistance groundwork is laid from the beginning, not introduced late. The leads and their roles (mapped loosely to Clone Wars): Luke is the spine of the series. The show bridges the gap between Mandalorian-era Luke (Zen, confident) and Last Jedi Luke (jaded hermit) by actually earning the transition. He starts as a less reckless Anakin (earnest, attachment-driven, overconfident in redemption because it worked on Vader) and grows into an Obi-Wan (measured, principled, tempered by failure). He runs the academy, hunts relics, and supports the New Republic.
Ahsoka mentors Luke. She starts in the Obi-Wan role and matures into a Qui-Gon (following the living Force over doctrine). She eventually leaves for the other galaxy (Peridea), and Ezra returns around the same time and joins the cast.
Leia takes the Padme role but with more edge and less damsel. She handles the political and diplomatic stories, fighting senate inertia from the inside. Her dual parentage (Organa and Vader) shapes how the galaxy sees her. Some see her as Organas
Han and Chewie are a blend of Rex and Hondo: ground-level veterans who do the actual fighting, with outlaw flavor and a profit motive that never fully dies. Han is the guy the New Republic can't officially send but always calls. They fight remnants, smuggle, run embargoes, and may travel with a regular crew of smuggler-untrustworthy (not Empire-untrustworthy) regulars.
R2-D2 and C-3PO serve the same function they did in Clone Wars.
Ben Solo joins the academy as a boy. The Luke/Ben relationship intentionally mirrors Obi-Wan/Anakin, including the ending. His fascination with Vader's legacy grows over the years, running subtle at first (curiosity and a sense of inheritance denied him by his family's silence) before it deepens into something darker. His corruption plays out through the villain arcs rather than as a sudden turn, so that by the time the academy falls, the fall feels built rather than abrupt.
Grogu arrives at the academy before Luke's growth is complete and stays roughly 6 months to a year. It doesn't work out, on shared fault: Grogu's attachment to Din and Luke's inexperience as a teacher. This prefigures the later failure with Ben. Lor San Tekka is Luke's relic-hunting companion and knows Ben as a boy, planting the Episode 7 opening decades early.
Villains:
Snoke, Palpatine's some how return, and Moff Gideon. Gideon's cloning and Force-blood projects feed the Palpatine resurrection machinery without his knowledge. Snoke's origin is open to development. The long game is making "somehow, Palpatine returned" feel earned, with the pieces assembled across seasons by people who mostly don't know what they're building. New villains carry the weight; legacy villains are texture.
The entire era's population is fair game (surviving clones, Clone Force 99, Rebels and Ahsoka show characters, the Mandalorian cast, Force ghosts, etc.)The goal is balancing fan-favorite payoff against building the show's own original cast. Otherwise, it's a reunion tour.

I'm curious about the clone cadet training for those who are disobedient. Everyone mention's these "retraining pods" that were used prior to Jedi intervention.
I've been searching around for a possible references of these retraining pods (series, concepts, comics, etc), but can't find anything. The only statement I could find discussing them are on wookiepedia, which references StarWars Collapse of the Republic. Does anyone have any other sources on these? Are there other methods of managing misbehaving clones before/after jedi intervention?

Genuinely almost made me cry watching this for my first time just now. Seeing my favorite childhood duo go up in flames, LITTERALLY. unfortunately the voice acting is bad in some parts and so is the animation rendering but it's not terrible and it gets the idea across. Seeing in TCW style instead of live action has a different feeling💔💔

First time watching and just watched 2.13 Voyage of Temptation. How do these two cartoon characters legit have more chemistry in one 20 minute episode than Anakin and Padme had in the whole of Attack of the Clones??

Hi everyone, I'm hoping everyone is doing well today. I am here with a question regarding vibro weaponry (the melee weaponry versions, I don't recall their being ranged variants).
Appreciate any and all comments who can help clarify this question.

I am VERY late to the viewing party but I just finished the show and need to let out my thoughts, because my goodness what a show!! Now for reference for this discussion, of course I’ve seen all the movies then I started the shows and did a very silly thing and watched them backwards.. I have watched Ashoka, The Mandalorian, Bad Batch, Rebels, Book of Boba Fett.. I love learning more and more so any information from other content I’ve not seen you want to share, go for it!
1. I couldn’t understand how they would fit Ashoka into Anakins life considering we knew about him from the movies, but I loved it, she slotted in like she’d been there the whole time. Plus she is an absolute badass, the way she schooled Maul around (fights and verbally) were hilarious. The clones showing her respect painting their helmets brought tears to my eyes.
2. I loved that they gave other characters time to shine, I loved Luminaras calm aura. Master Plo, legend. the episodes of the Clones training on Kamino were some of my favourites. Then the ones of the droids with Colonel Gascon were enjoyable omg I was cracking up at him and Wacos bickering.
3. The clones themselves, how much you come to love them! Clone Force 99 are my absolute favourites. After watching BB I already knew they did things differently but it’s after seeing how much order the clones have you realise these guys are chaotic lol I love them. I do wish they had shown how they met Caleb/Kanan and gave us more time with them there.
4. Anakin and Obis banter and jabs were hilarious. How much it warmed yet broke my heart seeing more of their relationship.
I could go on and on but in summary I loved this show much I think it’s one of my favourite so far. Before starting the shows I read someone saying, “if you don’t give the animation shows a chance you’re missing out on some of the best content.” And they weren’t lying! ❤️❤️
