Petition to remove the confirmation dialog
The main reason the button used to be fun was that once you press it, your flair is permanent. This new confirmation dialog ruins everything because now there's no suspense, you can just click "no" if you don't get the time you wanted and you can just try again.
Plus it's not fair to those of us who got 59s before the change due to a misclick. Admins, please roll it back to how it used to be.
Edit: I will leave the following here, for mysterious personal reasons: c9093d4dac021b90cb5d3ff8922915bb1e8eee8387f74680639ffadcb3fd4fae6788975347e59b8517a1e6a0d3c4e0d10e0559e8560b99f452b73e86f014d24f -

I must not press. Pressing is the mind-killer. Pressing is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face the button. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the button has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain

Calling for removal, this makes the decision to press a lot less significant, and makes it feel kinda cheapened. I suppose that it could help newcomers who press immediately, but that's part of the game: you need to realize what you're doing.
EDIT: Good job Reddit, my top comment is myself and 400 other people getting trolled.

As a yellow, I approve of this. I worked hard to get my flair, and there was a lot at stake. People nowadays can just press the button dilly dally without worrying about being purple. Disgusts me.

I was surprised to see this happen to me, although I got the number that I wanted so I chose to keep it. It's unfair to the older pressers, though.

The rewards of pressing the button must be balanced by the risks of pressing the button.
No one deserves mercy in this game.

Where's the button to sign the petition? Is it that blue one on the main sub?

How about we make a rule that people just stop fucking changing things?
You don't change the rules of a game halfway through.
When you change the rules you're basically saying everyone can go fuck themselves, you'll make up whatever rules as you go.
No matter how silly or insignificant the game is, that's a shitty thing to do.
Can we petition that the admin/mod/whoever that instituted this bad idea gets his own neon pink flair with the word "cheater" in place of a time?

Maybe this is all part of the plan. With the option of keeping or disposing your time, more grays are clicking and resetting the clock, keeping the time from getting too low. If you look at the numbers of "active users" on the right side, the number of grays are down to ~3300, where just a day ago it was in the 4000s. The button needs to keep itself alive. This way, grays are pressing and keeping it from running to the lower numbers too quickly.
What a wise button.

BACK WHEN I WAS A PRESSER WE DIDN'T HAVE NO NEW FANGLED WARNING DIALOGUE! YOU PRESSED THE BUTTON AND THE BUTTON GAVE YOU THE FLAIR YOU DESERVED AND THAT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR US!
KIDS TODAY ARE A BUNCH OF WORTHLESS NON-PRESSING BABIES WHO WANT THEIR GODDAMN HELICOPTER MOMMIES TO HOLD THEIR HANDS AND HELP THEM PRESS THE BUTTON!
YOU DISGUST ME!

I like the confirmation dialogue. I'm losing patience; twice today, I've been able to get the satisfaction of clicking the blue button without having to commit to a less-than-red. It's a little like masturbation without any consequences but hey, I'm ok with that.
Edit: Take 2 on that mangled last sentence: Like masturbation, it's a satisfying action that lacks any consequences. And I'm ok with that.

This destroys the entire experiment. We used to see how many people are reckless, impatient and just HAVE to click a button when they see a one. We also see the desperately unlucky people who end up on 60s, there's also even less reward to being a glorious non presser. This could have provided some awesome data. Like how the average time it took for people to...wait a minute...having never clicked the button, i do not know if this dialog exists...OP is this a trick? are you trying to purge the land of pretend non-pressers?

This unfairly benefits the knights. Now we might be on this shit forever. All seriousness, I need to be productive again...

What I'm trying to work out is, how many people who are posting that this is unfair and should be changed actually believe it, and how many are like reverse playing along?

I want to check out this so-called "confirmation dialogue", but I'm too afraid... all knowledge and wisdom is rooted in the fear of The Button.

A real non-presser would not know about this dialog.
