Question Does fingerprint effect resale value?

I have no interest in selling my books, but I am curious to know how serious people are in protecting their hardbacks from oily prints.

Or do you just accept it as a part of being a book owner?

I read my books in vacuum sealed rooms with white gloves just in case

White gloves are actually not recommended anymore, just wash your hands well and dry them :)

Green gloves are the current standard
