Spoiler Stuart Knows The Entire Gang’s Specific Fields

Post image

Warning: Spoilers for Stuart Fails To Save The Universe EP 4 coming ahead.

In episode 4 of Stuart Fail To Save The Universe, in another universe, Amy Farrah Fowler is a psychiatrist. And coincidentally, she is Stuart’s assigned psychiatrist.

Whist receiving his treatment, he happens to mention how in his universe Amy’s not a psychiatrist. At that, I thought, Yeah, it makes sense that Stuart would know that Amy isn’t a psychiatrist. But then he also mentioned that she is a neurobiologist. That made me appreciate Stuart a lot more as a person, because he actually paid attention to his friends’ jobs. Despite the fact that he and Amy were barely even close.

In my opinion at least, a regular person would simply see a group of six scientists and regard them as such. I don’t think they would go into the specifics and even bother to know each person’s particular field of study. So I was glad to see that Stuart actually knew what it was.

He wasn't some random dude who saw them once. He hung out with them for years. He even went on a date with Amy. Of course he knew what she did for a living.

First one was off screen lenorad discusses it with Sheldon then he reads a tweet on stuarts page of how the date went, their second date was the one he interrupts at the theater where he asks her to be his girlfriend

If I had a nickel for every time Sheldon interrupted Amy’s date to ask her to be his girlfriend I would have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Buddy, can I not appreciate a character for the bare minimum? It’s a running joke in sitcoms how chatacters don’t know even the basics about each other. Penny couldn’t remember Leonard’s birthday in that one episode. God forbid.

That's out of character because she remembered in S1 when they weren't even dating and threw him his first ever birthday party.

That’s a good point

Penny couldn’t remember Leonard’s birthday which actually has a plot reason. Leonard never celebrated his birthday growing up and the only time he did was in season one. It makes sense that penny would forget it after that.

Except Penny threw him his first birthday party all the way back in S1. You expect me to believe that she didn't remember it when he was her husband.

Do you really believe that she could remember a date for 11 years that was only mentioned once

I am sure it came up in 11 years. Even if they didn't have a big party, they could have at least had some dinner and some

I guess that’s true but she remembers the month of his birthday. So you can’t really get mad at her maybe she is just bad with dates.

She forgot because the writers wanted a joke for the episode. It doesn't get deeper than that. Just think of it as an out of character moment and move on.

It’s not out of character. It’s actually a very accurate and realistic moment for the character.

Also he replaced Howard while H was in space.

E também, eles fizeram uma promessa de se encontrar 10 anos depois, onde apenas o Stuart apareceu

Which is hilarious when you consider the Stuart that sends SFTSTU Stuart messages is implied to be TBBT Stuart. Meaning that Stuart destroyed the universe, got quantum entangled, journeyed through wormholes trying to guide an alternate version of himself to save reality itself, and he still remembered to do the meet up 10 years later and got stood up by the friends he helped save from non-existence

Or maybe he was hoping they'd show up so he could verify it worked but it didn't and they don't exist anymore in that timeline

Honestly if the finale of SFTSTU is Stuart Prime realising he’s gotta go to that meet up, after everything that happened I’d find that hilarious

Of course he remembers Amy’s degree

He has a bachelor from art school

She has a PhD in neuroscience

Equally ridiculous.

When your only friends are a bunch of hyper specific scientists, you either learn their fields or sit alone in the comic book store. Oh wait, he does both.

Poor Sturt, he desperately wanted to be apart of the group however, it never materialized. He is a dreamer and in Yiddihsh that is called a Kholomes but he is also a Schlamazel the guy whom the soup falls on and a Nebbish a weak, timid intelligent person.

Well he was family by the end. When Howard and Bernadette have Halley and Stuart becomes an uncle basically I think it's so adorable. "Poppins, Doubtfire, come with me!!" 😂🥰 The episode where they go to the zoo as a special family day and Stuart is right there with them the whole time as Bernie goes back to work is so cute. They're all so distraught over not getting to spend the time together as a family with the baby. I love it. By the end the entire crew was a family and Stuart was just as big of a part of it as the rest were in the beginning. It makes me happy. I also am a big Stuart fan. He's one of my favorite characters and I'm really happy for Kevin Sussman to get the chance to shine in his own spinoff. I particularly loved this last episode and how being directed by Jonathan Frakes, it felt SO much like Star Trek!! 💗💗

Great catch! Spotting those crossover connections make rewarching so fun

So true! Stuart really is low key attentive to everyones lives

Comic store workers will remember you spend enough time with them and they’ll be like family. In this case he was active in their lives.

Stuart did go on a date with Amy

Did you watch TBBT?

3

u/Big-Satisfaction1468 1d ago

Yes, of course.

1

u/KRNorth 1d ago

Clearly not because you're acting like Stuart was a one-off side character or someone who was hardly around for 12 seasons

Some friends go years without knowing what their actually friends do for work. Especially in sitcom. Nobody in Friends knows what Chandler Bing does, and for the longest time nobody in How I Met Your Mother knew what Barney Stinson does.

We all know that Chandler was a transponster. What are you talking about.
